Dear Uterus-
Late last night I made the mistake of typing DIC into Google.
I really almost died.
When the doctors said I was lucky, they weren't exagerating or trying to make me feel better. I was lucky. Statistically, I should be dead.
Nurses call DIC "Death is Coming".
Even when I was awake and talking I was still in critical danger.
You don't think about that. If you're talking, if you're able to smile.. you can't be that close to death. You can.
One of my sisters in law called today. She understands what I'm feeling. We talked about the few emotions I'd had since coming home.
So far I think things have went okay, but I'm still waiting for the ball to drop. Little things have made me tear up, but I haven't had any breakdowns yet.
She told me that it's normal.
She told me to write it all down.
I started this blog today. First, to share my story and second to seek relief. I'm going to write to you every day. I'm going to tell you when it hurts, and when I'm angry, when I want to cry forever and when I want to punch someone.
I'm going to tell you it all.
